Ribbon Master

This is where I'm gonna detail my journey on getting a Pokemon to be a ribbon master!

A ribbon master is a Pokemon that has obtained every single ribbon it can possibly get. This includes things like completing all the contests, beating the champions of each region, doing the battle frontier and its equivalents, and some other extra shit. There are So Many ribbons. For reference, the max number of ribbons you can get on one Pokemon is 84, accross 9 games, 7 generations, and a little over 20 years of games!

Now, I am not planning on doing this ultimate challenge (at least, not yet). In order to get all 84, you need to start with a Shadow Pokemon from either Colosseum or XD: Gale of Darkness, as well as make sure you get one that can be transferred into all future games (the main hiccups here being SwSh and ScarVio). This really limits your options on what Pokemon to use. Also, I don't own either game, so I couldn't start from there even if I wanted, though I do have ideas for which Pokemon I would use if I ever did start.

But you can start from a different game and still be a ribbon master! So who am I picking as my first choice?

Here is our future master! Skitter the Masquerain.

Why Masquerain? Well, it's my favorite Pokemon. I'm a bug type kinda guy, and I think Masquerain in general is just a neat design, and I like things like it's water type coverage. It saved my ass a few times in my first playthrough of Omega Ruby, and I've loved it ever since.

I will be starting from one of the original Hoenn games. I won't be able to get the ribbons from the Gamecube games or from SwSh, but that's still a ton of ribbons to get.

I haven't caught my Masquerain yet (trying to decide if I want to shiny hunt it or not), and I do still need to get a GBA link cable in order to do the necessary Gen 3 trades, but otherwise I have all the games I'll need. Once I get started I'll be updating this page with progress :).

In the meantime, I plan to do let's plays of sorts of some of the earlier games in preparation for this! Check back uhhh some other time and I might have those started.

Oh also, I don't plan to be using glitches at all. I do Not have the skills to do glitches past the Gen 1 games lol.
