Personality

"Can't talk, uses a chalkboard to write on. Fond of clowns, dressing up, and writing music. Seems shy, but otherwise nice, if a bit snarky. Journals incessantly." --Character diary

Descant is generally nice, though is known to get sarcastic when frustrated about something. They are steadfast in their beliefs, and won't back down if they believe something a person is doing is wrong, even standing up to gods themselves. They strive to make things better for themself and the people around them. They cannot speak, so they use a chalkboard to speak to others.

They are extremely knowledgable and fond of music and music theory, and can often be found writing songs.

They sometimes have trouble communicating to others, due to being mute and having broken antenna, which can lead to them getting roped into helping others with their problems.

Story

Descant first wakes up on the outskirts of Louise Hill, with no memory of where they came from or who they were, the only hints to their past being a pink baton, a small bell, and a cake squeaky toy. They soon learn that they are something called a World-Hopper, mysterious people that showed up one day and have the power to animate objects into pets.

They often find themself being involved in the affairs of the gods.

Pre-Dappervolk

Early Life

Descant lived an extremely sheltered life as a singer for the main power structure of their home planet. Starting as a teen, they did shows where they would "deliver the messages of the gods", as well as praising the leaders.

The Incident

At one of their shows, a group of rebels crashed the event in an attempt to get their voices heard. The rebels were soon surrounded, and when the leader was speaking to them, Descant made the suggestion of listening to what they had to say and then clearing up the misunderstanding. The leader, seeing this as a threat to their position, attacked them with powerful magic, severely wounding them and breaking their antenna. Luckily, one of the rebels brought them back to their base of operations, allowing them to survive the attack.
