>*There are 2 days left to get quota.*

>*There's 5 of you in total. A small crew, but you've been managing ok. It's a little tight this time around though. In fact, you're routing to one of the scarier moons this trip, Dine. The Company makes you pay to go there it's so dangerous. But there's more valuable stuff there, so you don't have much choice.*

>*It doesn't take very long to get there, the ships are pretty fast.*

>*The others group up to go in. Black and Green in one group, Blue and Yellow in another. Each group getting a walkie and a flash light.*

<*You are going to be staying behind in the ship. You aren't very good in the field, the fear tends to make you make dumb decisions. So you stay with the ship and monitor everyone, and if everyone dies, you can at least save what scrap you do have. A role you all affectionately call 'Truck Freak'*

<*The others set off, and you wish them luck and look back to the monitor. This early in the day, there usually isn't anything to worry about until they get inside, but you like to keep an eye just in case.*

>*Blue and Yellow are the first to make it in. The other two were heading towards a fire exit, so it's not too surprising they aren't there yet. No creatures so far, and no turrets from what you can see either.*

<Pink: "You're all clear for now it looks."

>Yellow: "Alright, thanks."

<*You keep an eye on the two of them, occasionally switching to a view of outside the ship to make sure no dogs or anything get near you, and checking in on the other team for when they make it to the fire exit.*

>*The wind outside is howling, it always is here. It's not the first time you've been here, but it still bothers you all the same.*

<"Maximizer, maximizer..." *You sing softly to yourself. Having music playing calms your nerves.*

<*In theory, being in the ship shouldn't be as scary.*

<*...You still manage be anxious though.*

<Pink: "Landmine, let me get it."

<*You turn to the other computer, the mask you wear staring back at you in the black of the monitor. It's silly, but having it gives you a little comfort. Your crewmates seem to like it too. A little levity in the work place.*

<*You watch Blue and Yellow pass by the now disarmed landmine. Nothing else immediately scary that you can see...*

<*Nothing outside the ship either. It's starting to get later, so there could be danger out there.*

<*You check on Black and Green...*

<*...They still aren't in the building yet?*

<Pink: "Black, are you two ok? You've been out there for awhile."

>*No response.*

>*They're still moving though, not being dragged by something...they must be alive then.*

>*Did they forget a walkie...? Was the wind too loud?*

<*You stare at them for a bit, watching as the two wander and spin aimlessly.*

>*Something feels...off. Black should know the way there. He usually goes to the fire exits.*

>*You're interrupted by a transmission from your walkie.*

>Blue: "U-uh. Yellow is dead."

<*Mother fucker. You quickly switch back to Blue's camera. Whatever it was, it's running off.*

<Pink: "Shit, I'm sorry, I was trying to figure out where the other two were. It's ran off though."

>Blue: "It's alright. I'm gonna head back to the ship now, I'll bring the body with me."

<Pink: "Alright...be careful."

<*You keep an eye on Blue as they leave, to make sure they don't get killed by anything. They're safely out now, thank god. You always feel bad when someone dies while you're supposed to be keeping an eye on them.*

<"Sunk coster, sunk costess..." *Your singing is a little more shaky now.*

<*You switch back to Green. She's wandered away from Black now. Maybe heading towards the ship? It's hard to tell with how she's moving...*

<*...Your nerves get the better of you and you go to close the ship door.*

<*You don't even know why. There's nothing near the ship and people are heading back.*

<*You walk back to the monitors. Blue is almost back. Green isn't far behind him. Black is...god knows where. She should know the way.*

<*You watch everyone. A few minutes feels like hours.*

>*The door flies open. Damn shitty hydraulics.*

>*Another minute passes.*

>*Blue comes back, Yellows body in their hands.*

<Pink: "Hey. You see what got them?"

>Blue: "No, I didn't...they just suddenly were dead."

<*You're about to ask if they saw anything outside, when Green walks in.*

>*She's wearing a mask too now. It didn't look anything like yours, but you remember getting a kick out of it when you first found one of them. You even put one on over yours once.*

<Pink: "There you are! Where did you two even go, I thought you were taking the fire exit?"

>*...*

>*She doesn't respond.*

<Pink: "...Green...?"

>*She turns her head towards Blue.*

>*...Something isn't right. She's not...moving right.*

>*She starts towards Blue, arms outstretched.*

>Blue: "What are--"

>*She grabs onto Blue aggressively, and lifts them up slightly.*

<*You bolt out of the ship.*

>*You hear terrible noises coming from inside.*

<*You end up climbing up onto the roof before you think of what just happened. God dammit, you've just left Blue there to DIE. Why didn't you do something to help? This is why you stay in the ship. Dumb decisions.*

<*...Now you have to figure out how to get back in to start the damn thing.*

<*You look over the edge, where the door would be. You have no idea if...you hesitate to call it Green. That can't be her. Whatever it is, you don't know if it's left yet.*

<*You stare for a minute. You hear something behind you.*

>*You watch as Blue climbs up the ladder.*

>*She has a mask on now too.*

<*Holy shit they can climb.*

<*You stumble off the roof, managing to land on your feet at least. You run into the ship.*

<*You nearly run into Green.*

<*You stare up at it, heart pounding, tears streaming down your face. Maybe you can lure it out of the ship?*

>*As you start to back up, the one looking like Blue walks into the door. Followed by another one, this one on Black's body. You're the only one left.*

>*They're all staring at you.*

<*Oh god. This is it.*

<*You look at their masked faces, just hoping that whatever these do is painless.*

>*...*

>*...They don't move at all. They're just staring at you, occasionally spinning in place.*

<*...You aren't sure why, but you decide to spin too.*

>*They seemed to like that, at least you think.*

>*This time, all of them spin. You join them. It's a little fun, you like spinning.*

<*...What are you doing? These things have presumably killed your friends and are puppeting around their lifeless bodies, and you're here spinning with them??? The hell are you thinking, they'll just be your fucking friend?*

<*You slowly back up towards the ship's console. They seem...interested, but still not aggressive. Why aren't they attacking you like they did Blue?*

<*You finally hit the console. You reach behind you for the brake lever.*

>*They must realize what you're doing. They start towards you.*

<Pink: "Get away--Get the fuck away from me!!"

>*...They listen.*

>*They back up. God, why do they move like that? It's just...it's only slightly off, but it's enough for you to notice.*

<*You flip the brake lever and the ship prepares to take off. The things are expelled off the ship. The Company ships are able to expel monsters at take off.*

<*You slump against the console as the doors close and you take off, your breathing heavy. Once again, you're the only one alive. You have no idea how. Why didn't they attack you and try to make you into one of them like Blue?*

<*It will take some time until the ship does....whatever it does to bring your crewmates back to life. In the meantime, maybe you can find something in one of the logs. You turn towards the computer...*

<*...The mask you wear staring back at you in the black of the monitor.*
